And have you finished a really important article? Then the next question is whether you can get it printed in a really important publication. The answer is that it probably won't be easy.

     But help is at hand. All writers must be edited by someone else, and all professionals know this means working with another professional. Nothing less is much use; to those who read your manuscript it can be painfully obvious when the editing has been done by someone who lacks the necessary training, the necessary years of experience.
